RYA Windsurf & Dinghy Sailing Instructor Training

instructor-mainRYA Instructor Courses – Dinghy & Windsurf 2016

Learn to becoming a RYA qualified dinghy or windsurf Instructor at our large sailing and windsurfing school near Windsor, just west of London. Open up all sorts of possibilities with employers around the UK, Europe and even further afield! Members of  the team at Datchet Watersports have also worked at centres in the Channel Islands, France, Spain, Greece, Mauritius, the Caribbean and have inspected RYA centres throughout the Mediterranean and Australia!

Young people who go through RYA Instructor training develop excellent powers of communication, understanding, patience and many other highly transferrable skills. Learning to work with both adults and children develops an understanding of different learning styles & personalities, and provides valuable experience of how to relate to others.

Of course, it isn’t just about young people! A number of our Platinum Package holders have undertaken instructor training with us. I believe a wise bearded chap called Seneca The Younger said something along the lines of “as you teach, you learn”. By breaking down basic skills to be able to instruct others, many people find that their personal sailing ability is greatly enhanced. A better understanding of the mechanics and techniques involved in learning to sail or windsurf carries through to more advanced skills.

Whether you are looking at a career change or would just like to be involved with the sport and give something back, becoming an instructor is extremely rewarding.
