Solent Yacht Sailing Weekend Breaks – from £299
Our inclusive Solent, yacht sailing weekend breaks are great way to learn to sail or improve your yacht sailing with our professional, helpful Skippers and First Mate. Have a relaxed, fun sailing experience in the sheltered waters of the Solent combined with a good social emphasis. Excellent for beginners learning to yacht sail for the first time or those wishing to practice their skills, under instruction and guidance, in a relaxed format. We sail all day – when we can we do a night sail – and maximise our time afloat. It is worth noting that many of our clients have commented about how much tuition they receive on these weekends as we are able to teach to a ratio of 1:3. Once safely tied up ashore we can have a social ‘cockpit party’ and excellent food with wines!
Learn to sail: Those who cannot sail will be taught the basics but will be steering as well as other sailing skills, rope work and crew responsibilities.
Improve sailing skills: Those with more experience will be given the opportunity to hone their skills whether it be the finer points of sailing, short tacking skills, reefing / mooring tips or practising navigation. With the right experience aboard plus the right wind conditions we also have an asymmetric and symmetric spinnaker to use.
Who Comes Along? Singles, couples or small groups. We mainly have beginners and those wanting to consolidate their experienced but have equally had Yachtmasters on these weekends who go away having learned a thing or two! There is something for everyone in these weekends. We find that some people learn and improve without the stress of a specific course syllabus and there is time for people to learn at their own speed. Gayle and Steve
“A superb mix of ‘racing’ and social made for a hugely memorable weekend for all the right reasons. We were thrilled to be taking part and had every confidence in our skipper, Buster, and mate, ‘Paulo’, whose excellent sailing skills were matched only by their culinary expertise. As Steve said, your appropriate approach to learning was just right and it added to what was a wonderfully balanced weekend of friendship, fun and ‘finking’!! Absolutely loved it, thaaanks!! ”
“Excellent weekend, something in it for everybody in a crew of all levels. The skipper pushed me out of my comfort zone in a safe and controlled manner, buzzing for a week afterwards. Fabulous food, good company.”
”Just I want to thank you one more time for the great time with you guys and organisation and hospitality.”
