This years Dahab trip saw us take 36 windsurfers to the Red Sea resort of Dahab. Staying with Club Dahab, this trip was a great opportunity to escape the miserable weather that had been battering the UK for 6 months, soak up some sun and get out on the water.
We had a complete mix of abilities ranging from beginners getting out on the water for the first time, all the way through to advanced sailors trying to learn Vulcan’s, Flaka’s and other twirly fancy moves. The conditions were ideal for our beginners and improvers with many of them getting in the harness for the first time and cracking their beach starts. For our advance guys we had a mixed bag with 3 days of good planning conditions and a few days for practising those light wind freestyle moves. But this didn’t stop everyone having a great time with activities including Go-Karting, Wakeboarding, Waterskiing, camel riding, diving, snorkelling, a visit to a massive waterpark (my favourite of the light wind alternatives) and even, for those more daring, a visit to Pacha in Sharm.
Whether people were on the water every second they could, or having a more relaxed beach holiday everyone had a great time and the legendary Gin Parties were in full swing, making sure by the end of the first day everyone had got to know each other.
But don’t just take our word for it, read what Colin a member of ours who has come on the trip for the past two years had to say on the trip:
“For the second year running I had a great time on the Dahab trip. As usual, the Datchet Watersports staff were fantastic and the Club Dahab staff could not have been more helpful. The non-windsurfing highlight was the Triple Thursday trip to Sharm, which included the water park, go-karting and a night of dancing at Pacha (which has made my daughter very jealous!). A great social trip, with a bit of windsurfing thrown in. Can’t wait for next year’s cocktail party season to begin.”
These trips are sold out each year so why not have a chat with us about the plans for this year a put your name down.
