What an Easter for weather we had this year, four seasons in 2 weeks! The first week of the Easter break was so cold we postponed our course and had a mega group the following week with fantastic conditions.
Challenging sailing for our advanced team on the Monday and Tuesday saw the sailors really getting to grips with spinnaker handling and the windsurfers were getting planing whilst the beginners were being shown how it was done with Assistant Instructor Henry and our Principal Paul blasting around in the double-handers.
The end of the week saw lighter and sunnier conditions giving the beginners a real chance to get to grips with sailing on their own and everyone was having fun out on the water. Special thanks goes out to Dinghy Instructor Tom for some expert Topaz freestyle capsize demonstrations, the video of which can be found on our facebook page: http://on.fb.me/16omwHB It’s well worth a look!
If you are keen to get involved in any sailing and windsurfing courses that are coming up we still have spaces on our youth summer program and if you want to try us out book a slot on our Sailing Day on the 31st May.
